Hello! Our family (5 adults) is touring Germany, Switzerland, and Italy by car in early June 2019. We will be in Grindelwald for 2 days and Lugano 1. We plan to do Jungfraujoch, Mt. First, Mount San Salvatore and hiking. I have compared the Swiss Half Fare Card and Swiss Travel Flex 3 day and seems Half Fare Card makes more sense and still worth it. But Jungfraujoch is still on 25% discounted correct? Any insight/clarification would be deeply appreciated!

Welcome to MySwissAlps Jen87!

Yes, the Swiss Half Fare Card is the one chosen by most drivers. It seems to make sense for you as well. Jungfraujoch is 50% discounted: www.myswissalps.com/ju ngfraujoch/tickets.

Please see www.myswissalps.com/sw isshalffarecard for how it works, what's discounted, and where to buy.

Thank you for your quick response!

There are so many sites from which to purchase Jungfraujoch and Half Fare card. Is one better/more reliable than another? We will be purchasing our tickets ahead of time and hoping for the best with the weather because of time constraints.

Thanks again for your time and patience.

Be aware that in early June, many high mountain hiking paths are still closed due to winter conditions. You should check tourist center in Grindelwald to see which are open before taking off on trains and cable cars (some of these may also be closed) to access the trailheads.
