Hi

I'll be traveling from Interlaken to Luzern and would like to get off at Meiringen and visit Aare Gorge. Please help me plan this trip.

1..How to Reach Aare Gorge from Meiringen train station. Do I need to take train to Aareschlucht ? Or it is in walking distance? How much is the walk from Merringen or aareschlucht train station till the gorge entrance.

2..After finishing gorge, I intend to go back to Meiringen and take train to Lucern. Can I buy tickets to Luzern from Interlaken station, get down at Meiringen, finish gorge n continue my journey from Meiringen to Lucern on same ticket? I will spent at least an hour at the gorge

Hi Jakay,

1. This was recently answered here: www.myswissalps.com/fo rum/topic/aare-gorg-allmend-alpine-dairy-boots-vs-sneakers.

2. You can buy one ticket for the entire day. Just explain your route at the ticket window (Interlaken via Aare Gorge to Luzern).
