Hello,

Trying to plan 3 days based in Wengen - would like to do the following in one day, please advise as to how long we should allow (relaxed pace to enjoy scenery) and which way round we should do it?

Early start - train Wengen to Lauterbrunnen

Lauterbrunnen valley walk to Stechelberg - detour to Trummelbach falls - how long would this entire walk take?

Transport from Stechelberg To Schilthorn

Schilthorn visit including Piz Gloria/Bond exhibit - how long would we need at top in total?

If we do it this way round how should we travel back to Wengen? OR should we go straight to Schilthorn in the morning and walk back from Stechelberg to Lauterbrunnen? Are the valley views better in either direction?

Huge thanks - we will be in Wengen 13th-16th June

Hi SwissMiss122,

Welcome to MySwissAlps! Your plan is doable in a day. The direction does not matter. Just keep an eye on the weather you that you'll be at the Schilthorn when it's best.

www.myswissalps.com/we ather/forecast

The walk takes about 2 hours excluding your time at the falls: www.myswissalps.com/hi king/lauterbrunnen-stechelberg.

You can spend 30 minutes at the Schilthorn or 4 hours if you take your time for lunch, the exhibition, a stop at Birg, etc.: www.myswissalps.com/sc hilthorn.

This will be a wonderful day. Let's hope for good weather!

Thank you so much!

Assuming weather allows us to do the valley walk first - is there a different scenic route back to Wengen from Schilthorn?

Also would an hour be enough to allow for detour to Trummelbach?

Thanks again

Hi SwissMiss122! After your stay in Schilthorn you can take the cable car down to Mürren, then change to the train to Grütschalp and then to the cable car back to Lauterbrunnen. That will add some variety to the way up from Stechelberg to Mürren. The routes are described at www.myswissalps.com/sc hilthorn/gettingthere.

Yes, about an hour for the Trümmelbach Falls detour sounds fair.
